Gervasoni presents at the Salone del Mobile Milano 2024 both the indoor and outdoor 2024 novelties and celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Ghost collection, the company's most iconic, by expanding it with new products. The stand presents the most representative furniture of the brand together with the new proposals, designed with the aim to expand and shape the Gervasoni domestic universe, focused on the constant research of innovative solutions for a tailor-made comfort.
The new collections are presented through 'Domus', an installation designed by Concetta Giannangeli and created to recall the aesthetics of the ancient Roman Domus, the archetype of the court house, and inspired by the reconstruction of the Domus di Tito Macro realised by the Fondazione Aquileia. The exhibition space aims to integrate indoor and outdoor spaces, in a continuous dialogue between the two areas. The stand is inspired by the Peristilium: a central court, dedicated to the Gervasoni Outdoor proposals, is surrounded by a covered area where the indoor products are the protagonists. Lightweight wooden structures and drapes in linen are combined with open volumes that invite to dip into the Gervasoni universe. The flooring in different materials marks the transition between indoor and outdoor: the first is covered with a monochromatic tatami in a warm colour, the second, to emphasise the natural and material aspect of outdoor spaces, is covered with wooden slats.
The Gervasoni stand presents new indoor collections by Federica Biasi, Cristina Celestino, Paola Navone and Gabriele and Oscar Buratti, while the outdoor area sees new furniture by Federica Biasi, Francesco Meda, Gabriele and Oscar Buratti and Nendo.
Ghost
design Paola Navone
Comfort and versatility are the key words that define Paola Navone's Ghost, the iconic collection of comfortable and enveloping upholstered furniture and seats that celebrates 20 years and expands with new proposals. The new chair is characterised by a square backrest and legs whose shapes are smoothed and entirely enveloped by an upholstered cover that runs along the entire seat and highlights its profile and minimalist structure, characterised by clean, defined geometries. To expand even more the compositional potential of the Ghost sofas, that until now found their strength in closed models, the family adds new modules, defined by a backrest with a curvilinear movement that shows even more the softness and comfort of Ghost, conferring to the product its own personality and aesthetics. The name of the collection is inspired by the white version that, thanks to the removable fabric falling softly over the structure, recalls the collective imagination of ghosts. The main characteristic of Ghost is precisely the oversized housse whose profile is highlighted by the visible stitching. Sofas, armchairs, poufs, chairs and beds are undressed and dressed in a flash, like a change of clothes, taking on a different image each time, simple or sophisticated, according to the personality of those who choose them and live them, a textile project that easily changes face.
Samet High
design Federica Biasi
Attention to detail, material research, modularity and versatility in terms of use, are the aspects that define Federica Biasi's proposal, a sofa that expresses both craftsmanship and industrial capacity. The quintessential oriental aspect of Samet is emphasised further by an extension of the range with the introduction of a new version. Now available in a high version - Samet - one more classical and one more lounge - Samet Low - Gervasoni presents Samet High, a new proposal that enriches the higher sofa with a quilted topper to bring the product even closer to the Thai imaginary from which the inspiration for the project came. A simple modularity gives life to infinite compositions with a timeless aesthetics, from the most classic sofa to the most multifaceted, from the tidiest to the most disarranged. Samet is a sofa without rules, a multifunctional and configurable product that places man as an active subject in the composition of his own space, encouraging him to try out new forms of use, unconventional compositions defined by the free combination of shapes and volumes.
Plumeau
design Cristina Celestino
Cristina Celestino enlarges the Plumeau collection with a new upholstered proposal, a lounge armchair that keeps alive the stylistic features of the bed from the same collection. The furniture of the Plumeau collection reveals its essence in soft, sinuous forms that recall the world of textiles. The new armchair is the result of a contemporary interpretation of the concept of comfort, inspired by the asian nomads' culture. Its upholstered and removable surface evokes a sense of movement, lightness and impermanence. The seat of the Plumeau armchair is framed by a fabric drape that delineates its profile thanks to the slight and delicate curvatures of the shell and cover. The apparent formal simplicity of the shell elegantly supports the quilted fabric upholstery of the seat, providing a pleasing visual contrast.
Kasane
design Nendo
The Kasane collection by Nendo, consisting of tables and poufs, is expanded with new versions: larger table dimensions and also two new finishes, Giada and Pietra, are added to the family. "Overlapping" in Japanese, Kasane is born from a play of joints and juxtaposition of different elements, in which each product becomes a sculpture with soft, sinuous shapes. It is inspired by the way in which cups, by being stacked one by one, gradually become taller. The collection is characterised by the rhythmic expression of the stacked edges and the material texture of the concrete that defines the soul of the product, designed to express the typical materiality of the earth and a pleasant tactile sensation.
Eidos
design Gabriele e Oscar Buratti
Eidos, from the Greek 'form', is the new collection designed by Gabriele and Oscar Buratti composed by dining table and chair with armrests. A term used since ancient times by philosophers such as Platone and in Aristotle, expresses the essence of the furnishings: essential, in appearance simple forms enriched by refined materials and processing. On the one hand, a proposal of rectangular dining tables in two sizes that combine geometric elements with different widths, covered with an unprecedented semi-gloss resin in three vibrant colours with a cloudy effect that give an additional touch of character to the furnishings. On the other, a dining chair with armrests that exalts the purity of wood: made in teak, in a natural colour, is distinguished by horizontal cuts that run along the backrest and seat, creating a see-through effect that lightens the aesthetics and softens the shapes. Two apparently different proposals that are actually designed to create a harmonious combination.
Yaku
design Gabriele e Oscar Buratti
Gabriele and Oscar Buratti's Yaku collection also grows with a proposal adapted to a wide variety of contexts. The designers create the Yaku console, where simplicity and essentiality are the key words that define the project: the term Yaku is a reference to the Japanese tradition that has embraced the experimentation with the union of simple elements and refined compositions. The Yaku collection celebrates the essence of wood in its most authentic forms: the main wooden elements are presented with a pure simplicity, with precise cuts that highlight the refined sections and proportions, overlapping and slightly spaced out to create a delicate vanishing line. The elements of the desk, with their simple geometric shapes, seem to be assembled like a compositional work, elegant and sophisticated, recalling the ancient oriental interlocking game designed to create symmetrical three-dimensional units. The apparent contrast between the solidity and the imposingness of the legs and the lightness of the top given by a thin structure, make the product perfect for decorating various domestic spaces maintaining a strong personality.
Mediterraneo
design Francesco Meda
The 'Mediterraneo' collection by Francesco Meda is an elegant expression of living products that captures the essence of the beauty in timeless furniture. Each piece is characterised by a Teak structure that is expertly treated to give an essential, simple and extraordinarily natural touch. An apparent contrast between the strong solidity of the wood and the upholstery of the seats, is revealed in a harmonious balance in which the teak sections of the backrest, curved and rounded at the height of the armrests, recall a pleasant hug that welcomes those who sit there. Francesco Meda's distinctive signature emerges in every detail, blending the functionality with the aesthetics of wood. The small tables - versatile and transformable - become poufs thanks to the possibility of replacing the material top with a comfortable pillow.
Hashi
design Federica Biasi
Oriental and exotic inspirations give life to Hashi, a collection designed by Federica Biasi and composed of a modular sofa, rocking chair and now enriched with a dining chair. Literally "chopsticks" in Japanese, Hashi starts from a system with a minimal and rigid structure that recalls the oriental instrument from which it takes its name, to create products characterised by encounters of different styles, flavours and cultures, in a dynamic dialogue between two worlds. The particularity of Hashi lies in the use of Accardi's Jaquard Outdoor technical fabric that envelops and wraps the iroko wood elements at the bottom and top, now available in two variants. A sustainable, light and waterproof fabric carefully worked by artisan textile weavers, the Accardi Outdoor fabric creates a woven pattern that harmoniously matches the wooden structure with an irregular cross-section, highlighting one more time the reference to Japonism and the local craftsmanship tradition.
