For the first time, architects and designers from different backgrounds collaborate with Gervasoni to create collections that stretch broadly into the world of indoor and outdoor furnishings. An incessant research aimed at proposing the most suitable solutions for a contemporary comfort, leads the company to experiment newer ways to give shape to its domestic universe, defined by the care for details and by the innovative workmanship that become an expressive tool.

One of the big news in 2022 will be the opening of an important exhibition space of over 750 square meters in Via Spartaco in Milan. The new Gervasoni showroom will be the place where the presentation of the new outdoor collections will be concentrated with products by Federica Biasi, Chiara Andreatti, Elena Sanguankeo, Gabriele and Oscar Buratti and Paola Navone. The latest indoor elements by David Lopez Quincoces, Federica Biasi, Federico Peri and Cristina Celestino will be also present in the showroom, they will be protagonists at the fair in a large stand whose layout has been curated by Ferruccio Laviani.

Among the latest indoor pieces, defined by soft and balanced lines, David Lopez Quincoces designs Saia, a sofa born from a classic ideal reinterpreted in a contemporary key. The name Saia, meaning "skirt" in Portuguese, illustrates its distinctive feature: a removable cover that falls light and elegant to the ground and adheres to the structure of the sofa, emphasized and designed by a discreet piping, tone on tone or in contrast, that defines the shape. An elegant sofa, versatile and suitable for defining different environments one from the other, Saia recalls the elegance and sweetness of a female figure: the armrests with their slight downward curvature invite you to sit comfortably to be embraced and enveloped by maximum comfort.

New for outdoors, Oriental and exotic inspirations define Hashi, the collection designed by Federica Biasi, including a modular sofa and a rocking chair. Literally "chopsticks" in Japanese, Hashi starts from a system with a minimal and rigid structure that calls to mind the oriental instrument from which it takes its name, to give life to products characterized by encounters of different styles, flavours and cultures, in a dynamic dialogue between two worlds.

The different modules of the sofa, adaptable to many situations and needs and made comfortable thanks to the seat cushions in variable density polyurethane foam and polyester fibres covered with outdoor polyester canvas and non-slip breathable bottom, have the structure of the base and frames of the backrest in steel treated for outdoor use. The peculiarity of Hashi lies in the use of the Accardi Outdoor jacquard technical fabric that wraps and envelops the iroko wood elements at the bottom and at the top. A sustainable, lightweight, waterproof fabric carefully crafted by artisan weavers, Accardi's Outdoor fabric creates a textured pattern that blends harmoniously with the wooden structure with irregular cross-section, once again highlighting the reference to Japonisme and the local craft tradition.

The Hashi collection is completed by a rocking chair with iroko structure and steel frame, treated for the outdoors. It, too, is covered with Accardi fabric, to give the entire collection a taste of the past, of dreams, of an invitation to relaxation and conviviality.

Gabriele and Oscar Buratti instead design the Flair collection: the Flair modular sofa opens the door to an informal product in its use, soft in its curves and at the same time controlled in its design. A system consisting of large poufs that can be freely combined to create new compositions each time.

For the first time, Gervasoni offers a modular outdoor sofa with a mechanism characterized by a backrest with double hinge which can be flipped down manually, individually for each seat and covered with a quilted outdoor fabric with overlock stitching detail, in tone on tone or in contrast. It is this detail that defines and enlivens the skyline of the product, allowing for double heights on individual backrests. The sofa structure in steel, treated for outdoors, combines with the softness of the seating cushions in polyurethane foam in variable density and polyester fibres, covered with polyester outdoor canvas and non-slip breathable bottom. Flair is therefore able to combine a mechanical part composed of straps and hinges carefully studied in every functional and aesthetic detail, with a textile part, designed to highlight the special workmanship of Gervasoni's fabrics, and their ease in being unlined to cover each component like a tailored suit.
