Overlooking the sea and nestled in the hills of Budva, Villa Mona Lisa is a historic residence dating back to 1715, preserving the strength of its original architecture intact. The renovation project by Studio 25 interprets this heritage through a contemporary language, where Gervasoni furnishings become an integral part of the interior architecture, helping to create a balance with the historic character of the residence. The entrance and living area are defined by two Gray 08 armchairs by Paola Navone, paired with the Heiko 41 side table by David Lopez Quincoces, creating an intimate, well-proportioned space conceived as a threshold between outdoors and interiors. In the kitchen, Gray 24 and Gray 26/27 chairs in canaletto walnut reinforce the visual and material continuity of the project. Wood and natural surfaces help shape a functional, convivial space, where material quality and attention to proportion support everyday use that is essential and long-lasting. For the living area, Studio 25 chose to preserve the historic fireplace as the visual focal point, building an informal environment around it. The Loll 14 sofa and Ghost 01 armchairs by Paola Navone introduce immediate comfort, defined by generous volumes and a discreet presence that naturally adapts to the existing architecture. The Ghost 01 armchair, with its oversized slipcover and visible stitching, highlights the product’s artisanal approach, emphasizing construction quality and attention to detail. The Heiko 43 coffee table, with its soft lines and textured clay finish, completes the space with a strong-character element that dialogues with the historic surfaces while maintaining formal and material balance.
