Milano Design Week 2025 / Showroom Gervasoni
Shaping Spaces set-up by Concetta Giannangeli

A story of design, materials, and atmospheres, room by room.

Via Spartaco, 34 Milano
07-13.04.2025, 10.00 – 20.00 h

On the occasion of Design Week 2025, the Gervasoni showroom at Via Spartaco 34 becomes an experiential journey through fluid, sophisticated spaces, shaped around materiality and comfort. Each space recounts a fragment of the Gervasoni lifestyle: a way of living that is about aesthetics but also about everyday gestures, personality, and expression. The layout unfolds in a harmonious, coherent sequence, where new items and iconic collections coexist in a dialogue of forms and textures.

Indoors and outdoors alternate, leaving room for both sides of the brand’s identity. For the Outdoor section, the showroom has opened a dehors, a sky-lit garden where pieces from previous collections are showcased alongside new designs by Federica Biasi, Paola Navone, Oscar and Gabriele Buratti, René Barba, Marta Giardini, and Marco Acerbis. The setup is provided in collaboration with Africa Style.

The Outdoor journey continues inside the showroom, in the Shaping Spaces installation by Concetta Giannangeli, an original exhibition project that transforms the spaces into a mirror of Gervasoni’s style: from indoor to outdoor, from living to dining, and all the way to the sleeping area. In the Spartaco 34 spaces, new items from the indoor catalog are also on display, featuring work by Neri&Hu, Paola Navone, and the Buratti brothers.

The Outdoor: A World Outside

The journey begins outside, in the showroom’s outdoor space set up in collaboration with Africa Style, where the latest outdoor arrivals take center stage. The Flair modular sofa by Oscar and Gabriele Buratti welcomes visitors with its impressive silhouette, distinguished by a double-hinge backrest with quilted fabric. In front, a grouping of Brise coffee tables in vibrant, bold colors sits alongside Brise 24 dining armchairs, designed by Federica Biasi. The sculptural shapes of the table and pouf from Nendo’s Kasane collection amaze with their clay finish and the interplay of volumes, created by the rhythmic stacking of the layered edges.

At the center of the space, the Eidos 136 table with a round teak slat top takes the spotlight with its warm, natural presence. Its soft lines and essential design pair perfectly with the Eidos 24 armchairs, also in teak, creating an elegant and welcoming dining area. The outdoor setting concludes with Paola Navone’s Jeko collection, known for its use of ECOTeak, a material derived from repurposing teak beams and elements salvaged from demolitions. The entire space is illuminated by the Ripple floor and pendant lamps, designed by René Barba.

Outdoor: The Selection Inside

Indoors, visitors are greeted by the sculptural and measured presence of the Noa table by Marco Acerbis, defined by solid volumes and essential lines, introducing a pure, architectural vision of the furniture piece. A silent yet authoritative element, it creates a first point of visual pause. It is accompanied by Paola Navone’s Inout 873 chairs and a new addition to the Outdoor catalog, the Colette 26 chair by Marta Giardini.

Next, the focus shifts to an area showcasing two of the most emblematic and contemporary outdoor pieces: the Mates modular sofa, among the new outdoor products for 2025, and the Hashi 05 seating elements, both by Federica Biasi. The former combines modularity with aesthetic lightness, creating a flexible and welcoming relaxation island. Meanwhile, Hashi—with its iroko components and technical fabrics—brings a more exotic and sophisticated note, evoking oriental influences reinterpreted for the outdoors. The two collections complement each other, striking a balance of volumes and materials.

Continuing on, the story becomes broader and more immersive. The scene is occupied by the Mediterraneo collection from Francesco Meda. The Mediterraneo 33 table with a marble top is paired with armchairs and a sofa from the same collection. The curved teak frames, generous cushions, and the balance of solids and voids define an elegant, relaxed outdoor area—one that feels immersed in nature, even within the walls of a showroom.

Immediately following is the Torii 33 table, designed by Studio Adolini, featuring a glass top that stands out in the center of an airy composition, accompanied by Inout 823 chairs with geometric, rigorous shapes. The entire setting is completed by the Saha rug, a 2025 novelty by Federica Biasi, which introduces a vibrant graphic pattern capable of grounding the space and highlighting contrasts between materials.

Indoor: A Journey Among Iconic Pieces and New Arrivals

The route then leads to the Indoor area, where one of the brand’s most versatile collections takes center stage: the Samet sofa by Federica Biasi, showcased in both its classic version and the High variant. Its design—essential and deep—speaks a sober language that highlights textile quality and clean lines. It’s an invitation to shape your own space, becoming an active participant in experiencing the living area.

Positioned between the two Samet sofas is the striking Brick 143 table by Paola Navone, a 2025 newcomer that captivates with its balance of formal rigor and material experimentation. The polished lava stone top rests with natural elegance on legs made of hand-turned cylinders in white ceramic and volcanic sand. All around, Ghost 123 chairs, an iconic Gervasoni seating piece. Behind them, two Daen 85 sideboards by Federico Peri, clad in eco-leather with a multilayer structure that gives the product a woven, elegant effect.

The other dining corner is dominated by the Yaku 33 table paired with the Yaku 15 bench, a collection by Oscar and Gabriele Buratti. Both pieces are defined by their linear, rectangular shape, showcasing wood as the star. Its grain is highlighted on both pieces, thanks to a multilaminar wood veneer covering. The Saia chairs by David Lopez Quincoces complete the setup with their elegant, enveloping design, reminiscent of the sinuous curves of the female form.

In the bedroom area, the spotlight is on the Pier collection—one of the new 2025 arrivals designed by the Buratti brothers—featuring the Pier 52 bedside table, the Pier 63 chest of drawers, and the Pier 60 desk. With their clean lines and lacquered ash structure, these three pieces embody a balance between formal simplicity and richly detailed design. At the center of the room is the Gem 80 G bed, also by the same designers, notable for its large quilted headboard. Illuminating the space are René Barba’s Pajama lamps, in both floor and table versions, whose lightweight Tyvek fabric adds a dreamy twist to the showroom’s atmosphere. Completing the setup are the Loll 07 armchairs, with their soft, enveloping lines.

The dialogue between classic and contemporary becomes more pronounced in the room where, on one side, the Loll sofa—with its soft curves and deep seats—faces the ever-current Ghost sofa, in its deconstructed, versatile, and timeless form, dominating the scene. Together, they represent two different visions of comfort, both authentically Gervasoni and both designed by Paola Navone. Setting the pace and completing the space is a selection of Gray coffee tables in various sizes and finishes, capable of blending into any setting with understated elegance. They are versatile objects that add rhythm and functionality.

The narrative of living continues with a moment of gathering and intimacy: Strap, the bed by Neri & Hu, an absolute novelty this season. The perfect blend of elegance and functionality, the bed is the result of a refined combination of materials and volumes that define its identity. On either side, the LC 47 bedside-table-lamps, with their light and clean aesthetic, adorn the space along with the Gray 29 rocking chair, featuring sinuous lines and a Nordic style. Completing the setup is the Yaku desk.
