With its new 2025 products, Gervasoni has embarked on an important journey of material exploration and experimentation. One of the key protagonists of this research is glass, reinterpreted through unprecedented and conceptual techniques. Not only for its aesthetic value, but also for its ability to create surprising and innovative material combinations.
Among the offerings in the Outdoor catalogue, glass stands out as the ultimate innovative element, combining the formal elegance inherent to its essence with the durability of a material that, by nature, is not typically known for it. Various types of glass can be found across the collections: Mediterraneo by Francesco Meda, Torii by Studio Adolini, and Eidos by Oscar and Gabriele Buratti.
Thus were born Eidos glass, Mediterraneo glass, and Fumé glass for the Torii table - bespoke blends and finishes developed exclusively for the new collections.
EIDOS
Design Gabriele & Oscar Buratti
Eidos, from the Greek word meaning “form,” is the collection designed by Gabriele and Oscar Buratti, distinguished by essential, seemingly simple shapes, enhanced by refined materials and sophisticated craftsmanship. The outdoor pieces in the collection are primarily characterized by their teak wood structure.
The cast glass top, named Vetro Eidos, features a three-dimensional rhomboid texture and is back-painted in grey with a slightly metallic finish. The functionality of glass - durable and resistant - combines with the elegance of a refined and unique material which, thanks to its geometric detailing, gently reflects light, creating a subtle play of color on the surface.
Mediterraneo
Design Francesco Meda
The cast glass top, named Eidos Glass, features a three-dimensional rhomboidal texture and is back-painted in grey with a subtle metallic finish. The functionality of glass, strong and durable, is combined with the elegance of a refined and unique material that, thanks to its distinctive geometric pattern, gently reflects light, creating a play of colors across the surface.
The Mediterraneo 33 rectangular table is distinguished by a teak base and a top available in different variations. The Mediterraneo Glass top is a tribute to the sea and to nature. The deep green glass is finely crafted to recreate the ripples of water. The sturdiness of the teak wood base meets the undulating geometries of the crafted glass.
TORII
Design Studio Adolini
The Torii table, designed by Studio Adolini, is distinguished by its elegant and linear design. The base, with legs inspired by the traditional Japanese gate from which it takes its name, supports a sculptural top with downward-curving edges.
With dark and sophisticated tones, the Fumé Glass top is made of cast smoked glass shaped over a textured mould, which creates a subtle rippling effect and adds personality and character to the underside of the glass. Once cooled, the glass is fused again to shape its curved edges, which take on a sinuous, rounded form thanks to the properties of the material. Torii embodies sophisticated simplicity, perfect for those seeking a piece that combines functionality and beauty, becoming a true focal point of style within any space.
