What if fabric weren’t just upholstery, but a way to reinterpret shape?

The seating pieces of the Loll family – the 09 and 07 armchairs, together with the 08 pouf, designed by Paola Navone – are defined by wide, continuous lines that shape soft and enveloping silhouettes, conceived to offer deep and authentic comfort. Generous forms that embrace the body and adapt effortlessly to both the user and the surrounding space.

On the occasion of the Salone, the Loll family is dressed in a selection of limited-edition fabrics, designed to interpret the same form differently depending on the “outfit” it wears. Not a simple covering, but a tailored gesture: a fabric that does not merely function as an upholstered covering, but tells a story.

As in fashion, the outfit follows the occasion. A season, an event, an interior that evolves. The armchair can become an intense presence or a quiet refuge, a bold statement piece or a more intimate detail.

Not simple decorative finishes, but surfaces designed to shape volume, modulate light, and redefine the atmosphere of a space: a research process carried out with a sartorial approach, selecting fabrics and studying their materiality, density, and the vibration of their surfaces.

The form remains faithful to itself: soft, generous, welcoming. It is the outfit that defines its tone each time, like in a couture wardrobe where there is no single version. There is the occasion. And the right outfit to tell its story.

Angora White

A full, luminous, and enveloping white. This long-pile fabric recalls the expressive freedom of the 1970s, when matter and light became design tools. The surface is generous yet controlled: the volume is amplified and the armchair gains a strong presence. It results as extremely soft and compact to touch, with a three-dimensional fibre that both captures and reflects light. The long pile creates visual depth, returning warmth and density to the form.

Fleece Fard

Warm and tactile, with a natural inspiration. It recalls fine wools and lightly brushed fibres, with a slightly irregular texture that conveys authenticity. The tactile sensation is soft and enveloping, without ostentation. The surface absorbs light, softening reflections and enhancing the softness of the proportions. In this version, the Loll armchair becomes a refuge.

Toile de Jouy Blue

Here the surface becomes a narrative. The Toile de Jouy, with its figurative scenes, crosses centuries carrying cultural memory. The pattern emerges with precise definition on a light background, transforming the armchair into a storytelling presence. The compact weave and the quality of the jacquard design enhance the volume, creating a balance between structure and decoration.
